A service contract is a promise to perform (or pay for) certain repairs or services. Sometimes referred to as an „extended warranty,“ a service contract is not a warranty within the meaning of federal law. A service contract can be concluded at any time and always costs more; a warranty is provided with a new car and is included in the purchase price. Used cars can also be delivered with some sort of warranty coverage. Guarantee. If the manufacturer`s warranty for the used vehicle is still in effect, you may have to pay a fee to get coverage, which will become a service contract. However, if the distributor covers the costs of the manufacturer`s fee, the coverage is considered a guarantee. That contract represents the entire legal agreement between [Company.Name] and [Customer.Name]. Other commitments or agreements concluded outside this contract and subsequent repair authorisations shall not be deemed valid. [Company.Name] shall not be required to release the vehicle referred to above until [Customer.Name] has made full payment for all services approved in writing and provided by [Company.Name]. In the event that the repair services of the vehicles provided are not paid within 30 days of their completion, [Company.Name] reserves the right to sell the vehicle to cover the costs incurred in performing authorized repair services. No service is provided by [Company.Name] outside of the auto repair contract without the prior written permission of [Customer.Name]. CONSIDERING that the company offers general auto repair services and that the customer wishes to instruct the company to provide such services in connection with the customer`s automobile; Also beware of unscrupulous dealers who may try to include an auto service contract in your loan without your consent.
If you see a fee for a service agreement that you didn`t accept, tell the merchant to enter into it before signing the credit agreement. By the signature below, [Customer.Name] indicates the approval of the services and rates listed in this Auto Repair Agreement. Likewise, they approve the full conditions of this treaty, without exception. If you are buying a new or used car, the seller may encourage you to purchase a car service contract to protect you from unexpected or expensive repairs. . . .
